Lifesaving Swim for Life Swim Lessons

Registration Information​
School Year Swimming Lessons at Mowat Pool have been temporarily closed. We look forward to seeing our Mowat families back at the pool in the near future.

Classes Offered: Excludes Halloween, holiday weekends, and school breaks

Program Information
  • Classes are 30 minutes in length 
  • Classes occur weekly throughout the school year and daily during the summer program
  • Maximum 4 students/instructor and assistants as required to allow students a full 30 minutes of swim time
  • Learn to swim programs will be transitioning from Red Cross to Lifesaving Swim for Life

Preschool Program
  • ​Prepares swimmers for Swim Kids Program
  • Helps to develop comfort level in the water and develop basic water safety skills
  • The 3 Preschool Swim Levels we use increase opportunity for children to take swimming and water safety lessons at an earlier age.
  • Although parents are not required to enter the pool with their child, we are more than willing to have them join the class while their child is becoming comfortable with the environment.

Swim Kids Program
  • Prepares swimmers for Lifesaving Society Rescue Programs​
  • The 10 Level Swim Kids Program fits with today’s swimmers; swimmers can get through all levels at their own pace and feel proud of their achievement. 
  • Swimming and Water Safety skills are taught in the water ensuring our swimmers are always active and in the pool – promoting success and encouraging lifelong fitness.
